Article marketing is one of the most effective and profitable ways of generating traffic to your online website. Whatever articles you create today will still be read online in a year's time. People will still be clicking onto your articles that you create 12 months from now. So it is better that you get into the habit and routine of creating effective quality articles from the very beginning. Here are some methods to improve your writing skill.
1. Write about the stuff that you already know. This will cut out the discomfort and the feeling of uncertainty one gets when they are not sure about the topic they are writing. By all means, do some research if you wish, but ensure that you know enough about your chosen topic to write quite comfortably and easily. This will cut out the research time you require in order to update your knowledge.
If you're starting from scratch, then maybe you will need to do some research and you will not be able to cut down your writing speed for at least a couple of months.
2. Get organized. If you go about your article writing exercise in a systematic and organized fashion, you will be able to dramatically speed up the process. Otherwise you can be fiddling around, looking for this, looking for that. First of all, decide how many articles you want to write today. Then if you are going to write five articles, create five brand new unique titles. Ensure that the titles are compelling, are keyword optimized, and when you are ready to start drafting your articles, do it in a quiet area where you will not be disturbed, with no television and absolutely no radio to distract you. And sit there until you have completed your set number of articles.
3. Write each article to a set formula, i.e. your keyword title, three- or four-sentence introduction, the content or body of your article, which should be created in a list format or bulleted format, a conclusion and your bio. Don't forget your bio should contain a link to your website with a compelling reason to action.
4. If you are creating five articles a day for the first week, then after a two- or three-week period, increase it by one so that you are generating six articles per day per week. That way, over a short period of time, you will begin to generate more articles and, in turn, you can increase the response you receive from your traffic generating marketing.
